The lawyer for Mutts and Moms appeared on the O'Reilly show and stated that Mutts and Moms WERE willing to work it out with Ellen and the other family but they REFUSED to follow the adoption protocall and sign a new contract (he has emails to proove it). To make things worse Ellens people threatened Mutts and Moms with damaging publicity and legal action if they didn't get their way. I work in animal rescue and we have people follow the contract for a reason. We want to make very sure that the animals do not end up in another bad situation. Hey - news flash - contracts are binding - even for powerful celebrities.
These women rescue homeless, neglected and abused animals, and Ellen
decides to ruin them just because she didn't get her way!! She needs some serious help!

23. Ellen has exploited her celebrity and abused her power as a popular figure knowing that her 'crazed' fans could possibly harass these people whose only crime is wanting what's best for homeless animals.
I'm disappointed with her manipulation of the public and using her show (and tears) as a soapbox for what 'she' thinks is right on this issue. Let her find another homeless pet for that child who will eventually get over it. I'm SURE there are plenty of animal causes that would LOVE the publicity.
I used to respect Ellen and now I'm just disgusted.

Seems to me if Ellen takes this to court, then Iggy would get returned to the little girl.
I hope Ellen pursues this course of action.

We're talking MAJOR screw-up by the LAPD taking away a little girls dog. The whole situation is TOTALLY a CIVIL MATTER and should never have involved the police.

Shame on you LAPD.

And, I hope M&M goes down the crapper. They deserve almost every threat they brought onto themselves. tisk tisk...

29. Ellen should have had a trial period with Iggy before she took him. Portia and her cats seem to be the alpha dog so to introduce a pup takes time and doesn't always work. I can't understand why she wanted a dog. She got rid of her other dogs because Portia and her cats so why did she want to adopt a dog? If she wanted to help rescue dogs just give some money and don't rip the heart of a child out. This is whole thing is Twilight Zone stuff.

No one likes to be bullied. I think Ellen bullied the moms and mutts lady and pissed her off. So she probably went ok I show you. Not correct behavior but it's usually the way people respond to bullies. They become bullies themselves.

I've lost a lot of respect for Ellen and Portia in watching this pan out. Poor Ruby. Ellen should have checked things out first before she let her become attached. Going to court to take the dog away from another family isn't right either. It's got to stop. Ruby may have to swallow the bitter pill and get another puppy. Sometimes giving is better than taking. As soon as she sees another puppy she'll get over it. To get her hopes up and put her through a court case is just cruel Ellen.

If you have cats check out they'll get on with a dog before you take one in. Everyone knows THAT.
