91. It is a known fact that many people who go into the arts have many inperfections and they tend to be with others that are similiar to them. It is like a group for them , they understand each other. Acting provide a place for them to express themselves. Many of them are very talented and brilliant, but they tend to behave differently.

92. I've always liked Delta. Compulsive behavior is a serious problem. It's brought on my stress and anxiety. Just reading the cruel remarks left on this message board for Delta would do it for me. I wish her all the best!

93. Delta, i know that you've fought depression for years.
my thoughts and prayers are with you.
i wish you all the best - and remember, just admitting the problems, much less knowing that the tabloids will take it and run - takes SO much courage.
I admire you.

94. Delta, if you are reading this, I NEVER respond to any of this stuff but I am very moved by the pain in your voice. I have always thought you were wonderful, no matter what. I pray that you get the help you need to gain peace in your life.

96. Delta, hang in there. Just be grateful you are strong enough and smart enough to know when you need help. As the daughter of a woman who suffers from depression, obsessive eating and hoarding, I am very sympathitic and wish you a complete recovery.

98. Nobody really cares about Delta Burke that much, she hasn't worked in the entertainment business for years, at least not visibly. Maybe she announced it because these things usually come out, sooner or later, and it's better than having sleazy rags report it themselves. I think hoarding is a symptom of a kind of OCD, so they are the same thing. There's nothing that unusual about people with depression or some probems like this, lots of people have them, why shouldn't people in the entertainment business?

Speaking of sleazy -- what is TMA's obsession with psych "wards"? The text says she checked into a hospital, and psychiatric hospitals are not "wards"? I think TMZ deliberately uses that term to try to make it sound as worse as they can -- sort of conjuring up images of the snake pit.. It's a lot more dramatic than just saying she checked herself into a psychiatric facility or hospital, though, isn't it? They've done that with Britney, and that actor on Grey's Anatomy and now this.

100. #23 Cat...in your case that is situational depression. You had a good reason after the death of a loved one to be depressed. Yes, that is a normal human emotion. But for millions of Americans who have major depression..for no 'obvious' reason...they cant function or lead normal lives because the depression can take over. There are many suicides of regular people that no one heres about. Mental illness and medications are a necessary thing and vital for some people. It can save lives and should not be any less valued than insulin would be to a diabetic. Its a brain chemical illness. OCD ..hearding, etc. Is a brain chemical illness..and people should NOT be ashamed to get help for it. They should be applauded for taking care of themselves.
Although, on the other hand i do agree that primary care physicians do overprescribe meds to avg people who arent technically mentally ill. One has to wonder how much of a kickback they receive from those pharmaceutical companies.
If you think u have a problem go to a pyschiatrist or mental health professional not your primary care doctor..IMO. They are the best at diagnosing these things.

105. #43: Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've always enjoyed reading other people's opinions on the daily goings-on, no matter where. However, I guess that teaching proper english has tanked in our schools along with phys ed and art. I truly do not understand it. I have a high school diploma and that's it. I had no interest in going to college and it would have been a financial stretch for my folks anyway. Still, I think I have a fairly good grasp on spelling, punctuation, and general english comp. I'd be willing to bet that many of the writers who want their opinions posted on these sites have probably been to college. So when, where, why, and how did they not learn basic english? I, too, just don't get it...and I agree that they do lose credibility when readers have to try and decipher what they are attempting to say!
